Adverbs — How Actions Happen
An adverb modifies a verb, an adjective, or another adverb. It tells us how, when, where, why, or to what extent something happens.
Urdu: Adverb وہ لفظ ہے جو فعل، صفت یا دوسرے adverb کی خصوصیت کو بیان کرتا ہے۔ یہ عمل کے طریقہ، وقت، جگہ یا شدت بتاتا ہے۔
🔹 1. Types of Adverbs with Lecture Notes
1. Adverbs of Manner (طریقہ) — tell how something happens.
Example: He runs quickly. Urdu: وہ تیزی سے دوڑتا ہے۔
2. Adverbs of Time (وقت) — tell when something happens.
Example: I will call you tomorrow. Urdu: میں کل آپ کو کال کروں گا۔
3. Adverbs of Place (جگہ) — tell where something happens.
Example: She looked everywhere. Urdu: اس نے ہر جگہ دیکھا۔
4. Adverbs of Frequency (تواتر) — tell how often something happens.
Example: He always drinks tea in the morning. Urdu: وہ ہمیشہ صبح چائے پیتا ہے۔
5. Adverbs of Degree (شدت) — tell to what extent or how much.
Example: She is very intelligent. Urdu: وہ بہت ذہین ہے۔
